Rules & expectations for all (especially for families):
The Ciderfest landscape is a beautiful and fun place to play in, and explore. Everyone at Ciderfest is expected to practice:
SAFETY • KINDNESS • RESPECT
- Parents are ultimately responsible for their kids and should use common sense to make sure that they check in frequently with their kids and know what they are doing/where they are.
- Please be aware that we all work together to keep our kids safe during this fun, festive weekend. Advise your children that other parents/adults may remind them if their behavior/actions is not appropriate for Ciderfest.
- Respect organized kids activities and either participate or give space.
- Off limits to everyone (including adults):
- House (unless emergency)
- Cabin near barn and outhouse next to wood pile.
- Off limits to children under the age of 13 without adult supervision:
- Barn lofts
- Cider Press Room
- Pond
- No fire play by children.
- No candles or flame of any kind in the barn.
- Sharp tools are not for playing with. Kids under the age of 13 shall not assist with chores involving sharp tools such as hatchets, axes, saws etc.
- We discourage weapon play at Ciderfest.
- Electronic games are prohibited in public areas at Ciderfest.
- No riding in back of apple truck.
- Be aware that the road in front of the barn is a public way with through traffic, set appropriate boundaries with children and stay alert.
- No booze unless you are 21 years of age.
- The cider press and grinder are dangerous and shall only be used under direct supervision of Casey or Matthew.
- No dogs at Ciderfest.
- No smoking in or near the barn, tents, campfires, or any public space.
